The Gir cow ghee is one of the most premium products found in the kitchens of Indian household. It’s superiority lies in the process and circumstances of its procurement. Sourced directly from Gir cows found in Gujarat, the Gir cow ghee is available in limited quantities. The milk sourced is less as the cows produce only 6-7 litres of milk per day. This makes their milk extremely precious and therefore, puts it in the premium category. Gir Cow ghee sourced by CowConnect Naturals comes with a seal of purity, authenticity and a promise of unadulterated produce.

Introduction

CowConnect Desi Gir Cow A2 Ghee is traditionally crafted using the ancient bilona method from the milk of indigenous Gir cows raised in the Gir Forest region. Slow-cooked on a wood fire and prepared by local tribal communities, this ghee reflects purity, tradition, and traceable sourcing—not industrial shortcuts.

Most “A2 ghee” in the market is just branding layered over factory processes.

This one isn’t.

CowConnect follows the bilona process—milk is first converted to curd, then hand-churned to extract makkhan (butter), which is then slowly heated on a wood fire to produce ghee. This longer, labor-intensive method preserves the natural structure, aroma, and nutrient profile of the ghee.

The Gir cows are native, free-grazing, and adapted to local ecology. The involvement of tribal communities ensures traditional knowledge is actually practiced—not just marketed.

Backed by the work of CowConnect Foundation, the sourcing and process have a layer of authenticity that most brands simply cannot match.
