Our Malai Madu Cows are 100% pure breed Desi Cows which total to hardly few thousands in number all over India. They are native to Western Ghats of Southern India and graze on many unique herbs and medicinal plants in the hills. This gives the rich medicinal nature and distinct aroma and taste to our Ghee.
Also, Malai Madu Cows provide a very limited milk quantity of 1 to 1.5 litres per day, which also contributes to the highly nutritious nature of their milk. Our Ghee is made strictly by the Vedic/Bilona method that involves culturing 30-35 litres of milk overnight to make curd, bi-directional churning of curd to seperate out Makkhan/soft butter and finally, heating of Makkhan to make 1 litre of ghee. We ensure that heating is done on a slow flame to keep the nutrition and aroma of Ghee intact.
Therefore, limited quantities of milk along with an eloborate and labour consuming process of making Ghee places it in the category of premium, rare and more expensive than usual.
